Seem to be advertising everywhere. Any views and/or experience of them here?

you may have known them as A-plan previously with loads of high street shops.

bog standard broker along similar lines to Swinton. Knowing the underwriter of the policy they try to sell you is more important.

Howden, is a major Lloyd’s broker, who have expanded massively in the past 10 to 15 years, embracing anything from highly technical reinsurance through to run-of-the-mill business with the public. Motor being a prime example of the latter.

If they give you a decent price / terms, then buy it. If they don’t, don’t. It really is that simple.

Had my self build camper insured with them for 3 years, very competitive and were great to deal with. Think my wife insured her bike with them too..

I have a couple of bikes and the house insured with Howden, they’ve been very good and don’t waste your time on a massive data collection excersise either - I was looking to insure my modern Norton and they just we can quote but we won’t be competitive

Really excellent customer service, I've had house insurance through them for years and several cars. They tended not to be competitive on bike insurance, but if that's changed I will go back to them for my next renewal.

They have a branch local to me, do house stuff as it gets complex with my garage which (now) has two storeys and most insurers won't cover more than a smalll amount, despite it being brick built with proper security doors most insurers treat it as a shed.

They don't seem competitive for bikes and cars for me, shame as I prefer to deal locally and have somewhere I can just walk in and moan if there is a big problem, rather than be going around in circles on the phone with looping "pressx for" menu's, chat bots, or talking to someone that clearly is not in the UK and has no real understanding of the issue, or worse, you cannot even understand.

They were very competitive on my GS basic. Maybe not on modern bikes, though
