HP2 Enduro side stand

I've just measured from base of stand which attaches to foot /base plate up to top of stand . By top of stand this includes pin which allows stand to rotate. Sorry, but I thought I'd spell it out as this length is 17 inches. However, there is a kink in the stand ( normal ?) and the only definite way to measure this would be to put a new one next to mine.
For those who have followed this ,thanks, next week I'll be even wiser when I take it in for the new steel stand support.

My bike resembles the leaning tower of Pisa
But when I mentioned it to my dealer
They denied all knowledge of the steel block
That is supposed to replace the aluminium one as currently fitted
I am told the steel block is quite expensive piece by another dealer
Did you get the steel block on the warranty or did you buy it looking forward to Your outcome

1 - arrive at destination

2 - bike on side stand, leaning too far

3 - helmet off, cigarette lit

4 - search local area for suitable sized rock/piece of timber/roadkill

5 - insert under side stand to set bike to correct angle

Hi , the steel stand holder which replaces the aluminium one retails at about £120 with vat. When the bike leans over when parked I know it's safe. However,at the back of my mind if that bike slipped ! It also looks better for photos more upright and I'm tired of of others asking why is that HP2 leaning. I know why it's leaning ,so it's being fixed (hopefully!).

Thanks for your comments it's reassuring that others have come across this depending on suspension/ Ohlins etc.

Just read again !
Very Good !
One more to add

6 Take out from seat bag one piece of timber 4x4x4 (inches ) place under stand, stand back and admire

There was at one time a center stand listed but I have never seen one. Richard.

Following your comments I looked up Woodys, then heard about BMW and their steel replacement . All being well Im having this done end of this week. I'll post on result.
Thanks for showing interest.

New side stand bracket/ holder fitted today with rear wheel flange. These are both updates with allows the bike to stand upright in a more normal position. Also. The rear wheel flange has been converted to a revamped steel version. In some reports over tightening of wheels nuts / braking have been attributed to this. However, all is now well and I thank all those who advised me of the direction to take. All the best !:clap
