+ 1 it's just like that only in a modern sort of way.
Like this............

Can't think of anything else to report really, other than it probably goes better with Timolgra on board![]()

Who has done the highest mileage on their HP2 and what have the breakage warranty claims actually been with their particular bikes?
Has anyones HP2 been fine 'out of the box' and been perfect from day one with no leaky forkseals etc, etc.
Any info appreciated FP.![]()
except for the front fork coating coming off & the rear shock squeaking and the underpowered battery. Also the side stand switch was bypassed long ago!
... and I know the problems will be fixed under warrantee.I done 8500 miles on mine, and was using it as an everyday bike when the donkey was ill,and it never missed a beat. The forks are well documented, but appart fom that,I can't think of any problems at all with them.
I'll be having another,no mistake![]()

The only thing I found last night after washing it Trouble is with bike we are passionate about, they give us a short memory

That's just a 'Vernism' to be taken with a pinch of salt.
I could afford one, and reckon I can ride one, I have ridden one and ridden amongst several. All off road btw
I loved it , it's a great ridebut it's too unreliable, with the wrong battery fitted from new, poor design on the forks for it's weight, sidestand switches going wrong and an electrical system that doesn't allow easy repair etc etc. I don't have a local dealer close by and what happens once out of warranty.
Yes there may be a few with reasonable mileages but how much of that was doing what they were designed for.
I really wanted one and think in many ways it's my kind of bike but it has too many issues for that money, and it's charm is not strong enough to overcome them....besides I have no ego and nothing to prove![]()

Set the rear to soft for road and dirt and get a small screen at the front - it makes a huge difference. I am probably around 10kgs heavier than you and I did have to mess around a bit with the suspension to get it to my taste but I find it very good on road now.I'll be honest, I'm struggling with the suspension at the moment for road use. I'm really not sold on the rear air-shock, the rebound off it is way to quick for a rider of my weight to be comfortable with (72kg) A nice rear WP or an Ohlins would have been more welcome.
The forks are shit, to little feed-back and to weak for the bike. Plus the left fork leg is shafted.
Make no mistake, I love the bike and on the dirt it's a 'hoot' but it ain't no road bike, certainly not for me anyway. Anything over 90mph and it just wants to blow off the back and shakes me to the bone...![]()

Also if you ride on the road quickly you need to get into the habit of using both brakes - it steadies the bike no end under very hard braking.

Another loada bollox being banded about, yet again about the 12...![]()

but it's too unreliable
