Hi chaps.....

My HP2 in Europe has a HPN tank on it. Just using the original central tank I am getting the usual 120 miles until the yellow fuel light comes up which in Europe is fine as tat is about as much as my arse can take and I need to get off the bike and take a stretch etc.

My question is, under the two HPN side tanks are taps near the balance pipe. If I need to get the maximum fill, do I undo these taps? Unlike my Asian HP2 which has a AT tank on it with three seperate fillersa, I am sort of looking around now to try and work out the HPN tank.

Any help appreciated.....:augie

Thanks

it's one tank not three the taps join the lowest section together to allow the fuel to balance and that's about it. I've always left mine open... and fillup at 200 miles regardless of whats left in the tank

you can just see the tap on the edge of the tank line the only time I ever closed them was when I wanted to remove the tank with fuel in it hope that helps?

TT tank is different it that has fuel pods...and taps that do something.

Thanks for that, I am going to do a nice steady run out to Seville this week with some spare fuel in a can to see how far she will actually go. WIll post andlet you know...:thumb2

I've drilled the filler neck so it holds about 25 litres best I've had out of a tank at a long steady run was about 240 miles.

best I got from the standard tank was about 130 miles

worst well it was loads less more like 60-70 miles on standard tank...:augie

I'm going out later will have a fiddle with the screws never really gave them much of a look before:blast
