Bike (06 GS) is due a 12k service and I am interested to know who uses and recommends who?

Most guys seem to go to Brian at Mototech and seem to be very happy with his work.

Have used Brian from MotoTech for a number of bikes and all have been sorted perfectly.

No hesitation in recommending him

As long as Brian uses genuine BMW parts the warranty is not effected. He does BTW

+1 for Moto-tech - 06 GS serviced by Brian in Jan this year, no complaints at all, will use again (sounds like ebay feedback huh?)

And why would I need an extended warranty - being an 06 it's one of the 'reliable' 1200s

I have a Fair bita experience in the Motor trade.
In my Experience of Machinery i have always Found the
Factory Appointed Dealer although not always Cheaper on the Day
works out the Best Value for Money in the Long run, for several reasons.

When you service at the Dealer , your Service and other Deatils
are recorded on the Dealer System , this is invaluable in my experiance.

for my motorcycles i have Consistently used the Main Dealer and
since i bought a BMW , I have used BMW Motorad Belfast
Or Hurts Mallusk. They know and understand BMW motorcycles, thats
ALL they do. I find them 100%.
