Went on a trip to Holland Sunday to go to Hot Rod welding to pick up and fit my X-tank. While there I ended up with a bigger X-tank so needed my side racks altered to accommodate it.
Then started fitting the front twin headlamp assembly which was worth the effort in my opinion. Thanks Erik for all your help.
Anyway I digress, we agreed ( friend who came along for the ride) that we would go to Hyperpro to have a nose around. All I can say is that Baz and his team are very helpful and set about setting up my mates Ohlins rear shock for him. It was none of Baz's doing but Michael ( my mate) decides that he needs not wants but needs the top Hyperpro rear shock with adjuster pre-load knob and high and low speed adjustment. As I said Baz tried in vain to tell him that there was nothing wrong with his ohlins that a different spring and some adjustment wouldn't sort out. But his mind was made. Baz even said that he can be called if there are any problems regarding adjusting the shock.
Also thanks to Mikecbrx from here for meeting up and showing us around. Erik at Hot Rod welding for all the extra work he did on my Xchallenge and Baz for fitting in the work he did to Michaels bike at short notice. All of them great guys and made us feel very welcome.
I think we might have to make another trip to Holland next year to get my shock serviced!
On the down side I lost the glass out of one of my projectors on the way home
On the upside the replacement is in the post today. (only got home last night!)
(An Ohlins rear shock will be coming up for sale soon to fit the Xchallenge)
