Don't worry about those poor bastids that have to stick with their toys for a long time...
Fact is, a bike is never a sound investment... It's a money pit, and that's a fact. If you feel it's time for a new one, and you have the chance to do it - just go for it.

...I asked when the bike was in for its 18k service.....it was going to cost me £4k for a new one. Funnily enough I'm keeping my current one for a while longer.
