Finally managed to track down a Tilley "Winter" Hat.

Got it from Fox's Outdoor shop in Amersham. Not going to bother with a ride report, since it was about as interesting as riding to a fish and chip shop ;)

Yeah, I've changed a bit since I started using moisturiser.

bought one in australia for 35GBP equiv. a dozen years ago.

wore it on every outdoor workday and many outdoor playday for years and years.

wore it every day for two months filming in marocco
fabric finally failed above sweatband
sent it back - got another one under warranty
wore that one through every outdoor workday for years
wore it through six months in a jungle in Mexico ...washing occasionally...

still hasn't worn through

I now own three of them - two of the snap-up ones and one of the slightly smaller variety... i live in southern california and travel a lot and work outside a lot and never without a hat...
my original investment certainly paid off on this one...

love ém!
cheaper than filling the car with gas...

I agree, love"em to death. I also really like their sense of humour....

When you get your guarantee card, they say to place the card in the bottom left drawer in your bedroom. If you need to replace your hat, and can't find the card, give them a call, and they'll tell you where it is...:augie

I've got a LT3, light, waterproof, stuff it in a bag and it pops right into shape again...

LOL!! I like it! :D I must admit I do fancy one of these hats but am worried I might be too young for one (under 40) :augie I tried one on and was most impressed but can`t justify the price for the amount of times I`d use it :(

Indded - when you are old and bald, a warm head is worth any price.

I've got one top draw bit of kit:thumb2 protected my melon from allorts of stuff in all sorts of places.

Well Mrs Big Lee went and scuppered the excuse of being too young to wear a Tilley hat and went and bought me one, an LT5 model no less :D

Cue loads of "G`day" jokes now :D

Fab hats

Got one last week in Orlando and used it on the river :

Love the fact they replace it for virtually nothing when it's worn out.
