Well, I bought a ASA 719 in Brooklyn Grey, picking up next Saturday.

That took a while after looking at many ASA type bikes.

Anybody fitted a non BMW Tankbag?

Cheers

Mark

Congratulations!

I've got the Givi tank ring fitted, makes life easier :)

Enjoy.

I wanted a 719 in grey. I think its the best colour scheme. But I ended up buying a white one.

I actually passed a 719 on Saturday riding the opposite direction and it looked fantastic.

Well, collected today.

Sorry, still can't get pics on....

Typical British weather, wet and horrible.

Hopefully better tomorrow.

Ride was good, high seat and handlebars, suit me fine.

Road 6 tyres feel good and stable even new and wet.

ASA good in Auto and manual, never reached for the clutch once.

Think I'm gonna like it.

Now for a few mods..... Hugger quickly I think, mud all over the rear end.

Health to enjoy your new stead Sir

Enjoy your new ride, first thing I would be buying is a mudsling to protect that shock and an avant guard to protect the engine.

You'll still get covered in shit with a hugger mate, the RS is great fun to ride and an absolute cùnt to keep clean.

i have used the bagster tank covers on most of my bikes i was looking at one for my 1250rs in the bmw white red and blue colours , once fitted you can choose any bagster tank bag you choose to fit the bagster tankc cover also provide great protection for your tank and easily removeable if required

I always used to use the bagster covers. I stopped when I traded in a CBR600 which had a matte black tank. The new owner took the cover off and the paint finish had been badly affected underneath. It may just have been unlucky but I've avoided them ever since!

never had any problems with any of my covers on any of my bikes zzr's sxh2 bmw k1600 gt .sx 1000's but all of these had metallic paint not the matte paint finishes , personally i think the matte paints

Matt paint is the work of the devil :ROFLMAO: because of how it works (think of it like the surface is a mini mountain range designed to deflect the light to give the matt effect, rather than a mirror smooth surface like a lake to give a shiny one) once the surface is damaged you can't do anything with it as if you try and polish it (as in use a DA or rotary polisher with abrasive polish the surface goes from mountain matt to lake gloss as yiu in effect remove the mountain peaks) The only solutions are either a respray or if you're lucky and it's not too bad a matt PPF from someone like Tony James design will cover the blemishes up DAMHIK

I'd definitely get a mudsling to protect that rear shock, this is the demo bike at Norwich.
I can't believe the amount of shit thrown onto the cylinders.
