I've been oogling over the GS most my life and yesterday I finally managed to get the cash together to get one. Took it out and it's like learning to ride again with the difference between it and my previous sports 600 being like night and day. Already I'm loving it, it's everything I thought it would be but better!

So I just wanted to say hi and that I'm looking forward to getting out and about with fellow gser's.

Ps. This forum is awesome and can a moderator move this to the "I'm new here please be gentle" thread please.

A warm welcome - yep - I know what you mean about these bikes. They may have their ups & downs, but one tends to fall in love with them!

Ride safe! :thumb :beerjug:

TOp of the mornin' to ya! ALready asking a moderator for help eh!? I guess that's why they are paid the big money for! :friday

Hello Phil! Still riding it and added an 1100GS to the shed.. and a few bungee cords! Mileage is now significantly higher though! What are you on these days then? Back to an AT? :beerjug: Here's your old one off road in the Spanish Pyrenees then both of the bikes in France just outside Grenoble... my father and I did a few thousand miles last August... brilliant time!

Good stuff, Im chuffed you are still going strong on it, it was a lovely bike although at the time I never really gelled with it... no I have just picked up a GS1150 after really just doing off roading on my sadly missed KTM, but I wanted a big bike again and the GS came up, and so glad I did
