I think you'll find the $75 is for an unlock code for an update disk and the £140 including VAT is for a standalone version of CN Europe.

Mmm, confusing. So what's an update disk - is that a low cost way of upgrading from a previous version? I have v7 so can I pay just 40 quid to get a v9 update or do I need to pay the full whack for Standalone? (Tried calling Garmin but they shut at 1730).
right those that asked me... i'll try making a copies of Version9 tonight before i lend it to a mate
You don't pay for the disc, thats free. Hence when you get one, load it and pass it on to someone else.
You pay for the unlock code.
Leave the paying for a disc to the muppets on ebay

they know that...but they still need the disc from Garmin to upgrade![]()

To all those i said i would do copies for....Sorry boys i just tried to copy it.... the image is over 6.4 GIG and a standard DVD is 4.7 max.... i don't have any dual layer DVDs and they are too expensive locally for me to buy them and post them for free so i'm gonna have to disapoint you all... you'll have to wait for Garmin![]()

Hang on, the maps are less than 2GB and Mapsource is less than 100MB... sure there'll be installers and stuff but that won't amount to much. Wonder what else is on the DVDthe image is over 6.4 GIG and a standard DVD is 4.7 max....
Will have to wait and see.6.38 Gig on the disc... i just checked![]()

As opposed to 1.5GB on the CN8 dvd...![]()

Maybe there's an option to load an alternate map-set with small map tiles just for those of us with Quests...I always said there were a lot of wee roads in Ireland![]()

Almost worth holding out for v10 and saving £40 odd quid. It's all getting a bit annoying now.. By the time we get the discs, the maps will be about a year old already...
You haven't seen the V8 maps for Ireland then! Grand if you live in a City, but pure nasty outside of the cities.Almost worth holding out for v10 and saving £40 odd quid.
