...A metal mule screen, I hope you are all happy

Looking at all the options this seems to win hands down. I guess I will figure out whether it is indeed any good when I receive it and slap it down the motorway. Being 6' 4" with an Arai Tour X3 calls for some serious wind problems.

Woohoo!!!

Woohoo!!!

Its a fine bit of kit, had one on my 800gs for a while now and no problems at 95mph for long periods.
i will say that the cheep silcone trim they provide with it is a major let down.
i contacted them with my concerns but havnt recieved a relpy or a replacement, on that note!!! nice screen. crap aftersales service -metal mule:cool:

GS Biker, they are exactly the same screen.

When I usually buy stuff online it takes 2 days to come through, I have a bad feeling this will take almost a week :-(

Edit:

Oh, GS Biker, what crash bars have you got there? Do you have a problem with your knees hitting the bars at all?

They look like the AdventureSpec ones to me :thumb. I have the same and have had no issues so far, but I am somewhat short of leg :beerjug:

Thanks for the conformation; I thought as much.

The bars are Adventure Spec's, bars just clear my joints although they do occasionally hit them when the GS fly's off pavements, manhole covers and the usual London traffic debris!

Blast, it's been over a week now and I'm getting pretty damn frustrated.

I'm going for an epic ride out on Saturday (340+ miles), I will go nuts if the screen isn't on my bike by that point.

This is bordering on unacceptable :(

Hi ILMV,

good news and bad news.

Bad news is that after reading your post on Mon, I ordered the same screen from PowerBronze and it arrived yesterday.

Good news is that I don't think you will be disappointed. I am 6ft 4in also with a TourX and there is a noticeable improvement up to about 85 mph.

Cheers
Rod

Cheers Rod :-)

I emailed them yesterday, good job I did as they said that my order was "lost" in their system. Probably a lame excuse, but should be arriving today... woohoo!
