My 2010 GSA is great but i do miss riding a multi cylinder bike. i used to have a K1200GT and GSA and it was good switching between them, i have no intention of changing from the GSA to the WC it would have to be the Adventure when it arrives.
So i took the plunge an bought a 6.
Not new, a 14000 mile jobbie in the off white.
Its a big bugger and has to be treated with respect but what an engine and a stately way to waft down the road.
Surprisingly the gearbox is sweet and no backlash in the final drive just smooth power transmission.
I have only ridden it from the dealer to home but very pleased, i intend to do a few 2 up tours on the bike.
Negative points:
Its a bit quiet, maybe a pair of cans is on the cards.
Side luggage is on the small side, not a lot of room for a 2 up weekend, it doesn't have a top box.
The brakes are crap.
I will post a few pictures when i get it out into the daylight.

PS, Any advice from fellow owners on how to improve the breaking would be appreciated.

What did you get, Kawasaki Z-1300 or Honda 1000 CBX, look forward to the pics, good luck with the motor

I presume you mean braking?
Slow down Pat that always helps.:D:D
I fitted the 55 litre Maxima 3 Givi top box and the brake light is hardwired to the k's brake light.
Mine is going in a month as I take a retrograde step to the other lc'd offering.
Otherwise well wear with it as they say.

I see I got that one wrong!

:jes:jes

enjoy the bike Pat
Always loved the look of these.
proper bike!

Never saw the like, is it an import or is it just the fairing?

Well wear

Vince, one of the buddies has this since new, modified it after an accident and rode it to Faro two years ago, a hummer and a work of art

Funny I was only saying yesterday that the CBX was one of my favourite bikes. Lovely bike Pat and health to ride and enjoy her:thumb2

not seen one with a fairing or white (arent they all burgandy?) before omg!

nice

Jeez The Pro link one

Pat They ARE the good Brakes!

You'll need that engineering shop to cope with the Valves and gearbox Foibles

I like the Trike great work.
I have a 79z CBX but i took an angle grinder to it and i am building it with:
Bking front end, brakes, wheels, rear shock
SRAD swing arm (all the modern swingarms are too long).
A R1200GS subframe, dont laugh it looks right.
I am making up a few conversion kits for myself to adapt a Kawasaki Alternator to the CBX apparently its the way to go for better charging. Let me know if trike man needs one, I will do him one for cost price.

The White one is a Texas import 14k genuine miles 82 Prolink.
It had USA high bars but i swapped the round left -right and clamped them under the tipple clamp instead of above. I will keep an eye out for a set of Euro bars.
I do have full running gear from a Blackbird but i will resist the temptation to pull this CBX apart.
I must say it rides sweet, i will make it a running restoration without taking off the road.
