I haven't yet made my mind up about the seat. I have done 5k miles on it now.

On motorways and other 'boring' roads, the seat becomes very uncomfortable. There's no doubt about that. Especially when wearing textile trousers (HG Master) without their liner. Leathers are much better.

However, a few hundred miles on a variety of interesting :D and twisty A and B roads is no problem at all.

So I think that for any long trips, I'll look at the airhawk. Cheaper than a whole new seat which I don't appear to need. That said, I'll reserve judgement over the next 5k miles!

I have to say I still think the Corbin is the most comfortable I have used and I'm a bloody big guy and all :)

Both seats were handed in to Bum Wraps yesterday, I rode down to Bognor Regis. I met the guy who's going to be doing the re-upholstering, basically he'll widen the width of the seat at the back and fill in the hollow bit in the middle a bit as well to give more comfort...will let you all see the finished article when I get the seats back...

Can all those taxi drivers be wrong?

Did anyone really tried this for real ?
I believe that Fanum is right and that the stock seat needs time to get comfy. In the mean time, beads may be an interesting answer...

Thing is Bert - 9,000 miles is more than enough time to 'bed in' and get comfy...

Hi,

My brother has beads on his KLR 650 seat. He likes it.

I wouldn't be caught with beads on my bike. :goof

It reminds me of people driving Motor Homes. :)

I hope my brother does not see this post. :D
