I need a trailer................

Anyone know about this set-up?

The older you get you never seem to be able to carry enough on the GSA and I fancy some more camping, but with that, it brings extra stuff and i'm already struggling

I've always secretly envied those Goldwing boys and their trailers, now i've seen this, I want a trailer for my GSA

Looks a sweet set-up, don't you think?

I thinks it enhances the GS's rugged Adventure appeal and now you can take everything you want instead of wishing you could and having to leave it at home

I reckon it should be able to handle a bit of light offroad too, well let's face it the trailer will be at least as good as the GS offroad

Anyone know anymore about them? Links?

Slight concern would be any significant drop in mpg, anyone know if this suffers greatly....................that trailer looks pretty aerodynamic

I've been playing with the idea of making a trailer for ages now, but I can't decide if one or two wheels would be better.

My "Tow-a-canoe-luggage-buggy" is still a poker in the fire, it's just the regs' that have stopped it being done so far.

They do Mike, except that they're over £2K and for chain drive bikes they attach the trailer hitch to the rear wheel spindle which looks like a bloody stupid idea to me. The bike's rear shock will then also have to deal with the mass of the trailer bobbing up and down.

They have a photo of the RT in their gallery which appears to have the hitch frame mounted, they're also developing an 'Adventure' version which may suit JB's needs...

I'm off to the Franch Alps in a few weeks and will be the 'mule' for the other two who are tagging along as they have no panniers.... and there's still room to spare in a set of Vern's.

I do like the look of those single wheel trailers, but TBH solo on the GS with Zegas and a bag strapped on where the pillion ought to go I can carry enough camping gear to be comfortable and still enjoy the ride. (and filter too)

Now if they could run a pto off the back of the GS and run a shaft and final drive to that wheel it would be an impressive machine. A bit like a Land Rover 101 with driven trailer.

It might look rugged and 'adventury' (I've patented that word) but it's ill thought out.

What's the possible justification for using £2k of expensive BMW panniers and an expensive BMW rear wheel (and no doubt matching hub)? Given the position of the wheel it'll be all nose weight too which would surely trash handling of the bike (even more than a more balanced trailer would).

That product is all about looks and zero about functionality (but perhaps a few 1200 ADV owners with more money than sense might buy it because it 'matches' their bike...).

I detest the thought of trailers on bikes - if you're packing so much crap that you need a trailer for it then you might as well give up and take a van.
