Don't need to take the tank off, just lift it at the rear....

Take the seats off..the only bolt holding the tank on is at the rear on the right hand side (o/s).

Undo that, putting your finger over the nut or else you WILL drop it.

Lift the rear of the tank gently about 4/5 inches and put a wee block of wood or similar between the tank and the top of the battery, you'll now have enough room to get at the terminals.....sorted....:thumb

To take the tank right off...undo the two fuel lines and the breather pipes and the of course, the electrical connection block...then move rewards carefully, then up...

just like that lol
thanks for the info will crack on with that as soon as i can

thanks agane :thumb:thumb

Forgot to mention that you need to take off the plastic panel under right side of the tank to get at the bolt etc....it's only a pull/push fit.....:blast

Think about whether you want it to be on all the time, or come on and off with the ignition switch. If you want it on all the time wire it to the battery via a fuse. If you want it to come on and off with the ignition, wire it to the side light circuit, you can access this without removing any trim.

Mine is wired to the sidelights.

Mine is wired to the instrument lights, has been for 3 years without problem. No need to remove the tank at all.
