The biggest issue with that picture is the 1970's style helmet and fucking awfull jacket.

If I was doing any serious distance on my commute, I'd have one I reckon - but I'm only a 12 mile ride away from work, so it's not really a big deal if I get rained on for a bit.

But if I could get it in Tartan to match my Nan's travel rug, and be able to shove a couple of hot water bottles in there I may be tempted.

They're also popular on le continent - Allowing folk on scooters to commute in civvies or lighter waterproof kit than would usually be required.
For me; If it's cold enough to need one on then I'll leave the bike at home

They do have a waterproof marsupialesque pouch in the front......big enough to carry a bacon butty, a flask and a pipe & pouch of fine old shag
honestly though, the furry inside quickly fills up with warm air from the engine and it feels dead toasty behind it......there are a pair of air bladder things that you blow up which stops them flapping and creates a buffer zone from the wind, and the front will come up to my chest ....and I'm 6'4"
It's like travelling in a waterproof heated furry sleeping bag, with a handy storage bag thrown in as well

Until we fell over at a set of traffic lights because I couldn't get my foot out in time
Nawww, they do take some getting used to, just like muffs, and I honestly don't care if someone thinks they look daft......I love mine

What the ginger one said. Years of M40 commuting saw mine going on in October and off in March. Fantastic bit of kit for keeping you warm. Or at least as warm as possible on a bike!
