I thought I had seen everything

Do they have a pocket on the side, to fit a "Tax Disc" :augie

Always fun to watch the replies to something like a shitebag debate.

Those who use them are super-happy with them and would rather be able to ride when they want, regardless of conditions, and don't give a toss

Those who laugh at the ones who use them probably won't ever use one so will never have the chance to join group 1, which is fine.

Any fool can be cold :augie

Well I'm in awe of you all, Shoitebag users or not.

I'm terrified of taking the push-bicycle out on icy roads and wouldn't ever consider taking the motorbike out in icy weather.

Not because of the cold - that doesn't bother me - but I'd be scared witless of dropping the bike & damging her and/or myself. :rob

All hail you lot. :clap:clap:clap:clap:clap

I wont ride (on purpose) in ice and snow, but I will ride on salted roads. Yes I have to clean the bike a lot and yes there is less grip (salt can be slippery) but in spite of that I still prefer the bike to the car.

Friday I was out at 6am in -2C for a 120 mile of motorways. It took me the usual 1 hour 45 minutes and I was feeling a bit chilly on arrival but no big deal.

Some of us (me included) dis the gritters for over-doing it, but to be fair the roads were fine.

I dont use these but have considered it

I've ridden about 50 miles a day every day over the last few weeks wearing a Gaucho - I don't give a shite what they look like as my chums at ABW who sold it me said, If they're taking the piss they ain't out there riding.

They are top bits of kit and as soon as the weather fairs up it'll be off. In the meantime I'll be warm and dry.

70 mph in driving sleet isn't fun but at least its no more wet crotch (not from rain anyway).
