i-touch to i-phone?

Tried to transfer my i-tunes info from my i-touch to new i-phone. It won't synch the new i-phone. The i-touch is going to the kids so I am not bothered about synching it again. I've followed the installation process to the letter. Has anyone come across this problem? Help please!

does it

recognise the phone at all? If it does what options have you selected in the music tab? i.e. Sync all or selected tracks etc. Ensure you have the appropriate selection made

yep...

thanks - yep, it is recognised and i've ticked the boxes
it downloads contacts and notes from outlook, etc, but not the music in i-tunes

is there a way of disabling the old one and enable the new one? cheers

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I seem to remember having to uncheck the box which said "Manually Sync Music" but I cant remember where exactly and I'm away from my computer until Thu.

When I changed from pod to phone, I had to un-authorise my computer, and then reauthorise it, advanced tab, de-authorise computer, plug the phone in and away you go.

Alternatively if, like me, you have more music than fits on the phone you need to select the manually choose option as illustrated in the screen shot in the post above.

now if someone could tell me why I can't import Cd's anymore..........
