I took my ageing Guzzi Lemon in for MOT couple of years ago and the MOT guy dropped it onto a 916. Cracked my little screen it did :spitfire - ripped lots of bits off the Ducati though. :mmmm

We laughed til we stopped...

Thanks Chaps

BMW head guards cover a multitude of sins I find :o

Where did you get that BMW swinging arm cover thingy? - I want one. Apologies for the hi-jack. Carry on chaps.

You could try these from Sandbar composites/Ilmberger/Wunderlich. Only problem is they cost more than the rocker cover ! Look good though .

Do a search on here for: swing arm frame bung. They are made by Karn Evil, a fellow tosser, pm him to place an order. I bought mine a couple of weeks ago, very quick service. :thumb

Yes - they do - and i bought a pair of those very headgaurds, installed them, then the bike was dropped onto one of them the next day! .... Apparently, the CPU at the heart of the canbus senses the head gaurds and topples the bike over within 24 hours to show you how good they are ... thing is ... the bloody head gaurds are as costle as the rocker covers !!! ha ha ... enjoy the scars .... like the lads said - make up a story about off-roading adventure

Big Deal

Whilst manoeuvering my R1200gs in the garage, i was walking it actually, i lost my balance and dropped the bike :spitfire i am gutted! well i fought it all the way obviously but in the end it 'touched down' and consequently i have damaged the right hand pot  and there are some deepish scratches on the underside of it. Thankfully that was the only damage done but i was wondering whether the damage could be tidied up/rectified? Anyone out there had a similar experience or possibly has any advice.
