I want a gs

Want a gs but do not want to sell my 2010 fireblade which is full of goodies.
I can't justify owning both.
If I sell the blade and buy a gs I know I won't regret it, but I just can't take the step and sell the blade. It's driving me up the wall ahhhhhh.

Feel a bit better know I have told someone, can't tell her indoors.

I've been looking at Blades recently... but not selling Clarence, longest I've ever owned a single bike 4+ years

Here he is in a friends field with Hector my old Adv. You realise you're going to have to get a GS and keep the blade

Just remind her indoors how much more comfortable it will be for her on the back of a GS Had a 929 Fireblade before my first GS.... no regrets there ...

Had a RRX which:

1. Tried to make me lose my licence
2. Tried to destroy my spine with the crouch position
3. Caused pins and needles everywhere

The 1150:

1. Helps to keep my 34 year old licence clean
2. Takes me in great comfort for many many miles
3. Can actually ride out and enjoy the view and ride now

Dump the 'Blade get a GS and you will soon add bits to it here and there and it will be YOUR bike - the way YOU want it to be and like no other bike on the road priceless

HAve you ridden a GS?? Assuming yes and
if you can afford to buy the GS before you sell the blade then do it.
It will make it easier to cut(sorry) the blade once you realise how infrequently
you are riding it.

Had the same with a GSXR1000, wanted a GS but wanted to keep the GSXR.Bought a proper GS, an 1150 & kept the GSXR 'cos I'd done that much to it but thought if I want to keep out of prison it had to go.Truth be known I never looked at, it I was all consumed with the GS.That's how they get to you.This is my personal opinion only & how I find the GS, I just wasn't bothered about the GSXR at all & it's the best decision I've ever made.I can ride how I want to ride, when I want to ride & in what weather I want & feel no pressure, especially from the press, to add the latest bolt-on 'cos you're no-one if you haven't got it, and really have gone back to my biking roots.That's my view, take it or leave it!

exactly, i had (still got but not for much longer) an rry 929 fireblade and also a vfr vtec,
i used the blade for sunday runs out and track days the VFR for the european trips etc.

got a GS (1200 as it happens) the VFR went on it's way and i kept the blade for the said sunday blasts and track days.

well, i started using the blade less and less as i wanted to use the GS more and more and i havn't done a track day for ages either.

result is the blade never goes out any more so it's going up for sale end of next month.

the GS is soooooooooo much fun and a hoot to ride on or off road and when i do another track day i'll do it on the GS

so there you go, get rid of the blade and get a GS. you know it makes sense

With a great sportsbike you need a great road that is fast and flowing, completely dry, fairly smooth, free from traffic and not likely to have any plod / talivan presence - but these roads are always covered in rocking horse doo-da's

That's why my wonderful Ohlins suspended, 170BHP ZZR1400 was replaced by a sluggish monster, but as I now seek out B-Roads and Backlanes I find it plenty fast enough and a joy to ride year round, without fearing the reaper / magistrate.

Ok, thanks for all the comments. Deep down I know I will be getting a gs it's just a matter of letting go of sports bikes. At a push I could keep the blade and buy a 08 gs may take a look at the weekend.
