In the last week or so my 2010 twin cam GS gas developed the annoying habit of not idling when cold. This has never been a problem in the past. Once warm the bike will idle but it feels very rough at tickover compared to how it used to feel. Tickover is at about 1000 revs which is where it has always been.

The bike has about 14000 miles on it and has been properly serviced at Rainbow. It was Hilltopped about 18 months ago and has never given me a moments trouble.

So, where should I start looking to fix this? Any ideas greatfully received

it should have had a set of plugs at 12000 miles, check your coils etc

Thanks for that.

What's the best way to check the coils?

I guess that they are expensive.
