Not to mention the shagged zip on the tent you sold me, so yep definately a common denominator in there somewhere.(I still haven't fixed it yet

Yes the zip in the BMW 'roll bag' (It's shaped like a roll) failed
The zips on my Streetguard failed
The zips on my Atlantis pants (two pairs) failed
The zips on the Atlantis pants even tearing holes in the seat of my XCountry
The zips on Sue's Atlantis pants tearing holes in her XCountry seat
"If BMW kit is that bad I wonder why you stick with them"
I haven't ... I've moved across to Rukka
The Wunderlich/Ortleib roll bag behaves impeccably cos it has no zips
As for BMW's two year warranty on clothing ... down to discretion I'm afraid. Sue's gloves would not be replaced because they were too tatty to do so.
OK she had done a six month trip across Asia in them, but they were only just over 12 months old. No limitations at to mileage or countries of use in the BMW 2 year warranty

Cheers really helpful, Im pretty sure this is what I got, I went for the ARMADILLO suit from George White , £700 bangers, £600 off RRP, looks good looking forward to receiving it now thanks. In my opinion, anything with a gore-tex laminated outer shell has the advantage.
The laminated shell keeps the outer layer of the jacket waterproof whilst being breathable. However, a gore-tex inner jacket or liner may keep you dry while the outer jacket still gets soaking wet.
If there's a big price step between jackets by Rukka it's often because of the difference in where the gore-tex is.
