I've noticed recently that my rear light has not been coming on, however, it does eventually (remember it on Monday Neil, when I thought the bulb had blown?).

Anyway, today I noticed that it is also the front side light too.

I've narrowed it down to the ignition barrel.

With the ignition and light on, if I turn the bars to full right lock (ie. when steering lock is on) the lights go out and come back on (sometimes) when the bars are turned back to normal position.

If I gently move the small wiring loom that comes out of the bottom of the ignition barrel the lights go on and off.

I suspect a faulty wire in the barrel is causing this.
Is this easy to fix and any idea on costs etc?

Any help Neil?

Cheers.

Bit late now, but cut all the cable ties off that secure the electric looms and cables around the headstock - see bikes with the looms broken internally due to constant stress/bending in the same place.

You might need an ignition loom, depends where it's broken .

ignition

i had the same on mine a year ago, just buy the electric part on the bottom of the ignition barrel loosen small screw on side of the barrel to remove and swap plug under front of fuel tank cost about £32.00 + vat i think this is the part N0 MC61.32.2.306.103
