hi
i have measured the resistance of my ignition coil
primary 's resistance is 0.15Ω
secondary 's resistance is apr 7.4ΚΩ

manual says tha primary should be ~0.5Ω and secondary ~13ΚΩ.

i have an other coil at 0.15Ω/41ΚΩ

both of them are near to ideal primary resistance, but the secondary of the second i.c. is far above.
my thought is that the second will provide weaker spark than the first, due to the raised resistance.

am i right or wrong?
thanks

from the bm workshop

Resistance: Primary Ω ~0.5
between terminals 15 and 1
Secondary kΩ ~7.5 when cold
between terminals 4a and 4b
check the resistance of your meters leads first and take that into account with your readings ,id guess looking at your readings its .1

my meter leads show 0 Ωs

if a secondary coil shows resistance up to 30 or 40 Ωs, that means that it is something wrong with that?

big secondary resistance means weak spark?
up to which point of resistance a coil is thought as faulty?
