Hi,a quick question, does anyone know the easiest way to pick up a live feed from the ignition on gs LC 2013?
Wish to wire up two lamps.
New here,so be gentle!!

If it's to power a relay via a switch then pick it up from the back acc socket. If you want them to come on with the headlight high beam and you have the LED option your a bit stuffed unless you want to get all fancy. You could come off the taillight but they would still be on with your DRL.

Stuffed how? Can't you just tap a signal line to a relay from the wire that powers the LED high beam?

Terry under the front seat on the right side is there a large looking plug tie rapped to the frame with 4 wires on to it?
If you have a look you will find it has two fuses in it, both of which are non canbus and are ignition switched, tap off the live side to use as a trigger wire, and take your fead from the battery. Don't ask me what the two fuses do, not even BMW could tell me but this is where they recommend you take your supply from.

There is no high beam wire on the LED kit. It is all computer controlled so one + - to headlight does everything plus the controller network.

Drat. So is there any way to take a signal to switch a relay for high beam spot lights?

Hi
Take a feed from the tail light, this will power on with the bike & go off a few seconds after the ignition is powered off. use this to switch a waterproof relay (plenty on ebay but watch the rating) take the live feed from the live terminal post under the cover on the right hand side of the bike (this is used to attach jump lead +ve if needed) this is the best way to power lights without upsetting the electronics - don't forget to fit an inline fuse straight off the +ve power feed directly after the pick up point
if you need more info send me a private message to avoid the sarcastic comments often banded about on here
