Mine broke a wire just where I goes into the switch, I took the switch apart and resoldered slightly shortened wires and it worked fine for a few weeks until I fitted a new short loom. I wasn't keen to trust the reassembled switch (or my soldering - it's all a bit fiddly) long term, but I'm hanging onto it as a spare.
Hi Stu,
I believe that is the repair part
Just fits into the bottom of you existing ignition switch unit.
If you do a quick search for comments by Steptoe, I think its just a small screw that is under a paint dot
Will whip the old one out no issues see if I can sort a fix first. Def worth a try before forking out the £60+
Is probably due to water ingress as the bikes been stood outside all winter.
Only the sidelights that are intermittent and already traced it back to the little loom when wiggled.
Stu. The one bit too watch is the grub screw. Dead easy to lose! So keep your eyes peeled . You'll have to dig out the gunk that covers the grub screw (but that's hardly difficult), apart from that is dead easy.
