phoned a certain motorcycle dealer ship on the northside today for some info
incidentally i only bought the bike there and all the gear bout, 19 grands worth in all.

anyway here,s how the conversation went, eh.. hi could you put me through to parts please, lady answers hello parts department , hi bought a bike off yourselfs a while back
and was just lookin for some info, lady , yes go ahead, well its a gs 12oo an you know the silver frame on it, lady , yes , well i was lookin for the ral number for the paint because its got a bit scratched and i want to touch it up, lady, mmm you will have to ring bmw , :confused: i am ringin bmw, lady , well were not bmw we only have the franchise, so you cant get me the ral number, lady, no you would have to ring bmw, ok then you might be able to help me with this, all the nuts and bolts are gone all rusty around the discs and bottom end of the bike i,d like to replace them,lady, they should,nt be rusting realy, well i do some off roading now and again and there,s a lot of water involved so i was wondering would i be able to replace them with stainless and do bmw have the sets, lady ,well you should,nt be takin it off road,:confused: :spitfire, sorry what did you say,lady well you should,nt be takin it off road realy.., do you know which bike i,m on about the gs thats what i bought it for, lady, well you should,nt be takin it off road , your best bet is to ring bmw, and see if they can help, wtf spitfire:spitfire:spitfire

rusty bits

any one know where i can get the sets, has to be stainless like me jocks :aidan need disc bolts front caliber bolts and rear swingarm torque bolt

Three days later, after we contacted the local dealer, who was absolutely brilliant :thumb:thumb:thumb, had sorted the problem out there was still no word from Joy Fufed.:(:(:(
 
disc bolts

Bought stainless replacement bolts for my 1150 front discs about eight weeks ago from Inchicore Hardware in goldenbridge Ind Est. He was originally an engineering supply type place and has a wide stock of nuts and bolts of all descriptions and not too pricey. Think they were about ten to twelve euro. They've been on the bike now for about eight weeks and no probs.

Usual denials apply.

ask for manager an complain, if enuf do it, it might get sorted,complain in front of a full shop....it helps
 
i would be very surprised if it was the girl from WALES, as she has always been helpful. i would recommend making a complaint to the motorrad sales & service managers, cos they could address the problem about parts staff and their product knowledge.:mmmm
