Well, the Battersea after sales place anyway.

My clutch slave cylinder has gone......Prestige can't fit me in until the middle of June (because you lot keep breaking down...they're overbooked!)
so I've booked in for Weds morning to have it done under warrenty....not bad!

Bloody BMW recovery though.....fair enough I spose from their p.o.v but I can't book a recovery to Battersea for weds, I have to call in and say I've broken down on Weds morning and they'll rtake the bike in

It's going to be interesting- my first dealings with PL.

I have heard that the management is were it all falls down, the actual fitters are a good hard working bunch.
The probable reason they can fit you in is that nobody wants to take there Bikes to them !!!!!!!!

If their fitters are supposed to be good then heaven help you if you ever get a bad fitter.

I've come to the conclusion that most of their 'team' must be shaven monkeys.

But then I could have just been unlucky three times in a row.

Might be more to do with the fact that hey've got 11 ramps rather than three at Prestige??

I'm going to give them the benefit of doubt whatever.......fingers crossed

You are def... gonna need it. Take your camera and take a full detailed set of pics of the bike as it goes in. The muppets there damaged my tank, despite a paper trail that says it happened the service manager is denying it....even come it out about faxing me an extra damage report upon reciept of the bike...amazing that considering they did not have a fax number for me until the week after!!



Not a happy puppy here. Still awaiting outcome of a discussion with the dealer principal... will post the full saga soon.

Well me bike's back, and I can't moan about anything...sorry guys

It went off on Tuesday on a flatbed, and I went to pick it up tonight, job done, no charge (as I was expecting).

I did phone them to find out if it was ready, but it was only just done so they may have been about to call me.

No damage, and the two guys I met at reception were very friendly and helpful...I actually arrived at 18.16 after having to go there on train and taxi (the disadvantage of not using Prestige) and when I called at five to six they had no problem with it....so can't fault them there either.

They did miss an oppurtunity to really impress me....I left a note with the recovery driver describing the symptoms of the clutch cyl failure, and I added that the bolt holding the tax disc on the head protector had fallen out and my tax disc had gone- I said I'd appreciate it if they could replace it but this wasn't done.

In fairness though, I have a feeling the recovery driver might well have not given them the note, so I can't blame them for this.

All in all, I'm happy....Prestige will always be my first choice but as they were busy and couldn't fit me in,I've had some important warrenty work done, I'm back on the road within four days of making the phone call (Prestige wouldn't have bbeen able to fit me in until a fortnight from now) and I've had no problems with them.

No complaints here

Sorry to have missed you too Mister Fanum ... unfortunately by 6pm I was getting dangerously close to a 12hr day and I start to think I don't really have a life if I do cross that barrier .. ahem ...anyway ..

If you had let me know you were on your way I could have saved you on the taxi fare (I only charge a fiver from Victoria)

Glad you got your bike back though ... never would have guessed which one was yours

I do the early shift and book the stock in etc - get in about 6.30am - on the plus side, it only takes 45mins in the car from sunny Bracknell in the mornings even in the car ... everyone else is still in bed

Well another little development that iI do think it's worth passing on...

I commented earlier that Park Lane had missed a chance to really impress me when I left a note mentioning that a new bolt for the head protector would be good because mine (holding my locking tax disc holder) had come out or the holder had nbeen nicked.

Turns out they did get it but because I'd already said I was going to pop in and say hello to Sharon, she's kept the bolt and a nice shinty new holder so she could give it to me when I collected the bike.

Sod's law of course, I was 20 mins late and missed her, but I was dead chuffed yesterday to come home after a long weekend to find a note, a bolt and a new T.D.holder on my doormat

So well done Park Lane.....not only did you get my clutchless bike back on the road three weeks faster than I could otherwise have had it done, but you went further than you had to in sorting out a silly problem too

Erm....nowt actually Skywalker.....

I just call it as I see it....I wasn't exactly overdoing the praise initialy because they did exactly what I was expecting them do do and no more than I'd expect from any dealership representing a marque like BMW.......have a read back and you'll see I knocked them for it, but as it turns out there was a reason for it.

Park Lane have had their detractors in the past , and I know Gavin's having problems with them right now, but my experience with them was good so I've reported that....it's so easy for people to knock dealers but it takes a lot more for anyone to praise them which has always been a bit of a concern here.



I'd have no problems going back to P.L if Prestige can't fit me in, and that's it really.
