2014 GS LC - cracked near the top torx bolts each time.

All replaced under warranty but a big of a drag !

Anyone else getting through them?

No issues for me so far..

Did you have to phone BMW assist when they snapped.... ;)

Yes I was concerned that a two inch crack would be too distracting.

They recovered me 200 miles and bought me lunch.

I'm now driving a 535d whilst they pray to the Acrylic Gods for answer.

Not being religious, I don't hold out much hope

Aberdeen Angus, I did also have a LOT of dead flies on my visor - don't take the *iss

I totally understand. I got a dead fly on my visor and felt my safety was in dire
peril

So I got recovered so bmw assist could clean my visor. I've got an M5 as a loaner until all flies in the UK are eradicated :)

I'm not complaining ;) :D

I am on my 3rd too - I thought that I was the only one with this problem :D

Did the dealer fit the rubber bungs to the screen ! This should prevent the cracking .

Yes - there are rubber rings in each of the holes, we're they not fitted originally?

This was the state of the top holes in my standard screen when I swapped for the GSA screen at 2000 miles. The rubber grommets were in place. The cracks weren't visible until the screen was removed, so maybe most of them are like this? :nenau

That's a standard problem... you've been washing it haven't you?

If you check the manual you should only be using purest Angel Tears to clean you bike otherwise you invalidate the warranty

at least that was the way it was with the Hexheads

Yes cracking with rubber bungs - going to try a rubber windscreen next !!

Interesting - I wonder if the holes are moulded in or drilled afterwards. Is seems as though there are a lot of stresses in the plastic, you can see 'rainbow' colours in the screen even without a polariser.

Thats part of the character sir, they all do that:D
Did they re fit the torx screws with a 1/2" cracker bar?

Mine has lasted 6k miles and was ok,now changed for a short Puig screen .
