Hi,
does anyone know of a reputable service engineer in the Oxford area.
Seems we are plagued with the more expensive dealers here, and i think £400 for a service is a bit steep.

Indeed ... and if you ask nicely Matt (Service Manager) will be able to tailor a service to suit your financial situation

I had my R1200RT serviced by Motoscot for 5 years. I live in Bicester and he's an hour from my house, worth the journey.

A third for Mike and Tim at Stroud. Always go above and beyond and have loan bikes too.

Another shout to Mike in Stroud. Bike always feel brand new after he has worked on it, nothing ever too much trouble. My hex head needed a fork seal a couple of years back, he spotted it, apologised (don't know why) that he did not have a spare in stock.

Got the part, called me to plan a drive through fix to fit in with me and completed the fit for me as promised and charged next to nothing for getting it sorted.

IMO great honest service with serious care about the job done - very rare these days.

It's a 24k service I am looking for.
It is actually due an annual one now but it is coming up to 22k so seemed sensible to do the 24k
Maybe I will give the guy's in Stroud a shout

I swapped allegance from North Oxford to the guys in Maidenhead. They seem cheaper, do a good job and are accommodating on choice of loan bike. Going to try and get a XR on my next service
