I am a class A mechanical/electrical numpty, but I wonder if anyone can help with this one.
On Saturday I fitted my new ATOMIC Twin Tone horn kit from Eddie Green - wonderful bit of kit and it's working perfectly: Parp Parp.
As I say I am a numpty, but I followed the instructions carefully. Here is what I did:
1. Unclipped the electrical connection to existing horn.
2. Snipped off existing connector, stripped back the plastic cover on the two leads coming from the loom (one green one brown).
3. Twisted the green lead to one of the leads from the new horn, soldered and insulated. Repeated this for the second lead.
Feelings of triumph when all worked on the horn. BUT on Sunday and today (intermittently) the right hand flasher won't cancel. I actually have to ride along holding my thumb on the cancel button to stop it flashing. If I push on the left indicator after the right and then push cancel both go off. The problem seems to come and go for no reason I can see.
My question: Have I messed up bigtime or is this just a weird coincidence? Any ideas welcomed before I head off to the dealers with my tail between my legs?
