That's ok for the likes of me and you, but some people don't like being alone, they need company.

Also from a safety point of view you should at least go with one other person.
If something happened on your own you could be left in a ditch for days!

….And I am 100% with you this one. I prefer the company and safety of riding with more than just alone but it is a personal preference
Missus won’t let me ride alone more than a day trip for that reason and I do enjoy the chit chat when stopped or in the evening over a beer…
But each one to his own

The riding during the day suits me on my own, but its when you finish putting your tent up and then your sat on your own.
Nice to have company in the pub or round a campfire.

Maybe just people the destination for the evening and tell everyone to make their own way there lol

There is certainly nothing wrong with using AI or the wise woman of Black Adder fame or indeed any method that anyone finds easiest. It’s why MyRoute, Garmin and whatever have preference settings and assorted ‘adventure’ and ‘scenic’ routing algorithms.

Of course the ultimate is the “Me and six mates, we are leaving Thursday…” posts, requesting nonmotorway, twisty routes, often over hundreds of miles, along with ‘stuff’ to see and do along the way. AI would be perfect for that…. But it’s easier to bang the request (demand is often a better word) into UKGSer. And they moan about younger generations being spoon fed….
