I'd be interested to hear of others experiences with the various insurance companies after a remap.

What sort of percentage increase are we looking at on most policies, any recommendations on those giving the best deals and any companies to be avoided :beerjug:

If you had an air-head, would you ring up the insurance company & say "It's just been serviced. We've tweaked the carbs & the mixture is now spot-on" ?
Arguably, the remap gives you what the manufacturer promised in the first place.

Why would you tell them, Its un detectable as far as Im aware, I havnt told mine !!
the other thing if you bought the bike and it had been done by the previous owner how would you know

Completely different scenarios IMO.., IIRC you have to declare any modifications that you know of, as they might increase the value of the bike, its chance of being stolen etc.

But if you don't know about it, then as you say, how can you declare something that you don't know about.

eBike are fine with all the mods I've made to various bikes over the years and the changes are easy to make online.
