My insurance renewal is due at the end of April and I need a green card for Morocco to start before then and carry on into May, so I phoned BMW Motorrad Insurance.
"Sorry we can't give you a quote on your insurance renewal as it's too early" and I was asked to contact again early April.
I explained that I also needed a green card and the old story about not covering Moroccon unless on a World of BMW tour was rolled out. I explained that they had already given me green cards on two separate occasions and was told that it was because there's no reciprocal repatriation agreement with Morocco. What's that got to do with getting third party cover???
Anyway I now have the email address of a supervisor and will be pointing her to the threads here.
Tim.
I have written to Devitt asking them to explain what NIG's / BuMW Motorrad's attitude is to 'green cards' in Morocco and Eastern (none-EU) Europe / Turkey.

It's possible that NIG have lost the reciprocal agreement they had with a Moroccan insurer. The Moroccan insurer deals with claims in Morocco on behalf of NIG and visa-versa, with NIG handling UK claims on behalf of the Moroccan insurer. However, that doesn't make sense or NIG would not be able to insure organised BuMW trips to the country.
It's also quite possible that Devitt are talking out of their bottom. They certainly seem remarkably inconsistent.

, I have left them promising to call me on Tuesday
morning after once again calling NIG to see if they can get a green card as NIG are now saying 100% 'NO' to any green card that is not part of a Mottorad tour.
