Insurance Melilla Border

Hi

I understand from an old post that the insurance office at the border does not sell motorbike insurance. Is this still the case and if so how can you ride without insurance to somewhere where this can be purchased?

Does anyone have a address of somewhere I can buy insurance when entering Morocco via the Melilla route?

Hi

Well that was not an easy task. I purchased motorbike insurance from Devitt and they agreed to provide the green card. This must be done over the phone and you must ask for them to use Axa insurance. I have an email from Axa which I have pasted below;
Hello Mr XXXXXX
Thank you for your email.
If your policy is going to be taken out through an insurance broker.
I can confirm that we can issue a Green Card for Morroco.
We do not charge for the Green Card but there maybe insurance brokers out there that will charge an Admin fee.

I thought getting through the border would be quicker with the insurance sorted out before getting to Morocco.
