Well it's been a good day sorted out my iPhone gps. Just got quote from Bennetts for my little new steed £105 more petrol savings. Whey glad I left the old suzy stable and joined you guys.

We can only wonder at your joy.

To complete the circle, it's just twelve little petrol savings - that your little new steed will not miss (do people really talk like this *) - to be become a site Subscriber. An infinite return for the support, companionship and true love that you have found.

* I have subsequently discovered that you do. Quite a sugary equine based turn of phrase you have:

ps sorry guys on my high horse was in a bike emporium this afternoon....

Pass the sick bag, Alice.

My missus has 2 steeds and 2 stables, its just that she's talking about horses. :D

Horses. yuk one daughter when little had a little pony that supported the high life of the local vet. One reason why including no proper pension arrangement I ride an old well not that old 2004 bike

Fanum will hate her.

She's not thrown her riding crop at any cars yet, afaik,
She's also just sold her GSA cos she's only used it for a couple of European jaunts this year,
She says that way she can keep both horses.:blast
Might sell mine now as we will no longer be doing a summer tour together. :nenau

Rather than sell it in mid winter use the GS instead of the car. These bikes work just as well on a commute as they do on a tour. ;) ACF-50 keeps the salt at bay.

We have only one car and TBH I dont miss not having one of my own.

Trouble is its only 3.7 miles to my work, country lanes for 1/2 of it, just can't be arsed to get my gear on in the winter for such a short journey, besides if you take into account, putting gear on, bike out of shed, ride to work, take gear back off it takes me 20 mins longer,
Got a car so I will use it, I did 13 years riding all year round, didn't have a car licence, just can't be bothered anymore,
Just spent £700.00 on winter tyres for the 330ci so I'm gonna use them.:thumb

Ps don't like the idea of only riding it on such a short journey all winter, the engine barely gets warm

What are you going to do then?

Buy a horse?

Change your site persona name?

You can tell who wears the trousers in this household. Fanum weren't so wrong.

I take the point about the bike gear and engine wear for 4 miles, but short runs wont be good for the car either. TBH pedals are good for unless its narrow and fast (like the A415 near Abingdon) or the 3 y/o has to be collected at bang on the dot from the child minder.

I use my bike whenever I can. Unless I need to move stuff or people the bike does the job.

Actually I've grown quite of of horses they produce such lean meaty sausages. Better not let my Claire read this. I keep telling her what to do with her old one (not me by the way)

Sorry always doing ppss I just saw my daughters current vets bill B****y h**l you could buy a brand new bm for that, well nearly. Good job she's well off. I'm hoping for a Klim!!! Jacket for xmas

Still keeping my other bikes, might even buy a drz or something for nipping to work and a bit of green laning.

May have to change user name to TLSGAZZA which is one bike I'll never sell. :D
