Folks,

I'm looking at a comms system that gives me sat-nav, music and bike-to-bike. Yes, I know, a million threads on the subject, but....One thought is using a Sena BT and then a radio with a BT transmitter for bike-to-bike, or go with a wired system. A few friends had good reports of the Starcom1 digital, but things aren't so rosy now with cables failing due to connections, etc. Other's have the Autocom, but are struggling with 'where to put the radio' dilemma.

So, I saw pictures of the EVO-3 and it appears to be smaller than the autocom and with better connections than either of the Tecstar owned devices. Or......do I go down the BT route as there appears to be some great new systems out there. I can't find many reports or feedback on the EVO-3, so would appreciate any from owners of the Intaride kit. I intend to discuss with the guys at Intaride, but some real-world feedback would be good.

Any constructive comments and guidance would be welcome.

Cheers :thumb2

PS - I use Rockoil 20W-50. That's the oil question sorted......

The EVO set up is quite dated now..i had an interide radio with the auto com system ,wasn't the best radio so I swapped it for Kenwood, I now use this set up all the time , Autocom with phone and Nav connected .I have a PTT to operate the Kenwood when required , Its sublime ,no dropped signals or anything .

I have just added an External antenna ( theres a three on here) so the Kenwood and the auto com are tucked under the rear seat out of the way.Perfect connections and a great range due to the antenna

BT is ok once you get it going but frustrating to start off. For some reason different makes dont pair up well.

A pal of mine has the EVO 3 and he said the quality of the comms unit is not as good as intaride radios. I use a Stardom digital paired to an intaride 803, Zumo 660, pillion etc. Top quality kit. As for the connection, they are fine as long as you use an electrical lube on them occasionally.
