Delivered all the way from France for me to find the problem and fix it after the owner was quoted ridiculous costs in her home country.. The dealer had suggested the engine had broken a con-rod, even though the bike started and ran on one cylinder but with a very loud knock (a twin cylinder engine with a broken con-rod wouldn't run at all) and with a repair bill running into thousands or the possibility of the bike being scrap -
Turned out was a dropped valve that had embedded itself into the piston, after ricocheting around the head.. So a fairly straightforward repair
