Intermittent Fault

So, every now and again, the red triangle warning light doesn't extinguish on the dash, indicating that the brake light isn't working. The thing is, it doesn't do it every time. If I stop for a sec, switch the ignition off, then on again, then it will often work fine.
I've had a look for loose connections, but drawn a blank. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Don't know on a Divi but on an 1150 this can happen if battery is not fully charged, also clean contacts on stop tail bulb. You havent got LED lighting have you?

Your starting procedure ...

... may be at fault. Despite it's overall appearance as a Teutonic tractor it's actually quite sensitive to start up; turn the key, put your gloves on, then press the starter. The only light remaining once it's running should be the abs, and that should go out when you start rolling. Your gremlins are quite old now and need the few seconds provided by your glove routine to get their shit in order. If that doesn't work your battery is fecked

Hmmm, had a look at the contacts and wiring generally. Everything seems tickety boo. I'd be very surprised if the battery was cream crackered, as it's quite new. Everything else seems good, and there's no snags with starting or anything.

Servo ABS? When mine did that, replacing the rear/brake bulb sorted it. Cheap and easy, although I didn't expect an "intermittently blown" bulb.

Bought bulb. Fitted bulb. Kicked self. Problem solved.
