Started getting the yellow triangle and '--.--' on the RDC screen. If it happens, it's usually on a motorway run but also very occasionally during a non-motorway spirited ride. Most of the time seems to work perfectly ok. Usually resets ok with the ignition off/on but occasionally persists through a few ignition cycles. Would be grateful for any thoughts/comments.

Probably a weak battery within the tyre pressure sensor unit. That or a chafed CANBUS signal pair in the loom somewhere.

The RDC sensors use a standard button type battery with spot welded tags. CR 2032 I believe but check first.
Carefully dig out the old potting resin and solder in a new battery. Refill with electronics grade silicone sealer.
