Internet explorer problem

Please would a kind knowledgeable person assist me and very kindly direct me in the right direction to correcting the terrible mess that my stupid fat fingers must have made of my interweb connections.

(background violin music on) for years I have had Google as a front page, now its gawn, not there, internet explorer can't display the webpage, links in posts no longer open, photos are not shown.
If I try to open www.google.co.uk I just get diagnose problem message.
Sall a bit strange as I can get on line via speedtouch and into here through favorites. (background violin music off)

Try to get into control panel from the start menu and find system restore and then restore it to a previous setting where it last worked

Hi bis, tried to use the system restore after a failed attempt to load a Blackberry phone program.

It didn't work cos Arry is still in a public phone box and pressed button B by mistake.

So I removed the Blackberry stuff from the control panel and now its all a bit hit or miss at the mo.

Anyways what are you doing moving up to Nott's, funny bunch up there.
