Is the coast road from Inverness through Fraserburgh to Peterhead a good motorcycling road. I mean good from a scenic viewpoint. Is it twisty?

The main A96 leaving Inverness is a fairly straight road however you would leave this at Fochabers and take the A98 and the A90 which is a much nicer road for a bike. There is a much smaller Coastal road too which is a b-road albeit much slower but in my opinion and far better road if you have the time:thumb2

As long as you go down the hill into Pennan. - And ride a 70's 2-stroke trailie along the village...

Pennan on a grey day:

Yes good brae down then Fish and Chips in the Pennan Inn (of Local Hero fame) will make a memorable day of it.

Also go down to Crovie nice brae too and a really unique village with only a path along the narrow sea front - I used to visit friends there years ago.

Took a similar run last summer with Mrs Sticks before the ferry North. :D

My dad bought a boat in Fraserburgh around 1976. I'm just curious about the area. I believe the boat was built by a T Summers in 1955. I'm unable to unearth anything on the net about this shipyard.

I found plenty stuff on the web about the yard, details of boats built, forums with posts from men who worked there in the 1970s.
Maybe you need to dig a bit deeper in Google!
