iPad worn out? ... which replacement?

I have an iPad 2 works superbly still the Battery life is dying as it runs down quick so I too having being following this thread with Interest.

I have the Apple mac book Pro so it would be another iPad for me i think.

Incidentally, when flying home last night, the lady sat in from off me was watching a film on her "iPad" she had it stored on a memory stick which was on a type of lead / Adaptor plugged into her Tab…any one any idea what this adapter lead to take the stick would have been ? I was unaware you good add extra storage device. Im not 100 pc sure it was an iPad but it was certainly a Tab and around the size of the iPad Mini

Same experience, here, too.
Beats the iPad hands-down.

Mrs.tree has just bought a s/h Acer laptop and downloaded Windows 10.....I too am mighty impressed. I use it for Basecamp and can't fault it.
Old ipad2 has all the problems mentioned and TBH if it were a dog would have been put down by now. I've had it to the iStore and there's nowt they can do other than sell me a new one. Worked fine upto iOS 7, been a pita since.

We have several Apple adapters for out iPads. One is a camera kit that has a usb interface giving limited usb support.

Bought a Macbook 12" Retina display s/h on here a couple of weeks or so ago. As new, seems ideal for 'the job' :thumb

Just as portable as the iPad, much more user friendly in some respects, maybe not quite so in others, much better for uploading photographs to SmugMug than the iPad is :thumb

Looks like the old iPad might be redundant
