iPhone and Autocom Logic

Ok then, I have been thinking about this one for a while as have been to Spain and back twice now, once through France and the other on the ferry, on both occasions without any toon and by eek it was a long couple of days without some toons to listen to, So I think an Autocom Logic might be the right route to go seeing as there is a font of knowlegde here so eyes down and look in, I have an iPhone so I would like to have use if the iPod and the phone for inbound calls, I know there is no auto answer function when using the normal 3.5mm jack on the top so a BT donglr answers that question and I presume the aux input for the iPod uses the 3.5mm jack on the top edge if the iPhone, But how do both the " connections " operate toghther does one not disable the other ? I'm quite happy to told other wise and where the hell is the best place to mount it,behind the tank panel? I'm sorry if this has been covered previously .

Hi Andy,

You would need one of our internal Bluetooth modules that would look after the phone side of the iPhone, so a Part 2217 £80. For the music side the music lead within the Kit L-1 can be used or we can supply longer versions if the system is going to be bike powered.

you

do not need a lead for the music, all you need is the bluetooth dongle. The phone will then stream music via the bluetooth connection. I use mine daily and it is more than good enough. I have found that unless the keylock is left off it will not auto-answer, so you would be advised to sort out an external power connection. The beauty of this setup is of course the music is muted when the phone rings and restarts when the call ends.

Top tips indeed,thank you both.Are they hard to fit?I guess
the hardest thing is finding somewhere to
put it as under the seat is a bit on the small side
unless the unit is the size of a matchbox.

the

bluetooth dongle is very small, not sure of the dimensions but small enough to tuck easily into the fuse box or under the tank. Not sure if it's powered by the connection to the main unit or needs a separate power connection. Either way a fairly simple job.

The Bluetooth module plugs onto the Logic main control unit making the system a little bit deeper on the main overal depth.
