Can any one give me a bit of help regarding the set up with a Autocom Pro avi and a iphone. Does the iphone have auto answer, do you need some kind of special lead. I Just want to listen to music on the go and take the odd call on the phone.:nenau

depends on which version of iphone you have. Only the 3G(s) has voice control for voice dialing, autoanswer etc. I have the 3G model and use it connected to my autocom for music and gps only.

If you have the 3G(S) I'm not sure if you can just plug the phone into the autocom with a lead or whether you need the bluetooth package. I think you can do it with just the lead, but not sure if you need a 4 ring connector lead or just a 3 ring one.

If you have a 3G only iphone you're out luck I think, although you can certainly still use it for music as I do.

Justin.

iPhone 3G certainly auto answers on bluetooth but I am not sure you can stream music over bluetooth and if you can it would only be mono. I had mine set up on bluetooth via the Autocom dongle and it worked fine as a phone. I now have the 3GS set up via a Zumo and then to the Autocom both via bluetooth, works a treat for phone. I think if you used a lead from the iPhone to the Autocom you would have to answer manually but you would have stereo music, you would also need one of the stereo isolators I think. Try this link http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201311 there is a useful wired option there.
