When I got my iPod with Video, I gave my "old" iPod to my daughter, who worked it off her own PC. She's now returned it to me and SWMBO wants to fill it with her own stuff. How can I open a new iTunes for her (my missus) to use and operate without her delving into or possibly fecking up my iTunes music library? We use the same PC.

I do believe that you cant set up seperate user accounts on one PC. Partner and the kids do it on another computer, won't let i-tunes near this one :green gri it messes everything up :thumb

Seperate user accounts - i use my 80gb ipod on my account, one of the kids uses her nano on her account, no problems.

Works fine on a Mac. Each user (in my case SWMBO and me) has their own account, but the nice thing is that all the mp3 files are located in one place, meaning no file duplication is necessary. Each account then has a different iTunes library which then syncs the appropriate music.

If you set up different user log-ins on the computer then you can use seperate I-tunes for each log in.
So Ronno when you turn on your computer you will click on your log-in to access your I-tunes, and if HWSBO wants to see her I-tunes go to start then log off & then you will get a prompt to either "log-off" or switch user, if you click on switch user your wife will then be able to log on to access her desktop & down load her own I-tunes.

If you hav`nt got another user set on your computer go to Start then Control Panels then User Accounts and then Create New Account.

Hope this helps.
