after a hearty breakfast it's time to pack up and say tat ta to everybody, many
:tears:tears:tears:tears flowed :augie:D:D.
time for me and the 1150 to play on our own, i head west for killarney via the N73,N72 killarney is very touristy and smells of horse poo because of the horse and karts.hotels a plenty.
decided to move on to killorglin BUT found the Gap of Dunloe on my way :bow:bow stunning and i was no expecting roads like this in Ireland.
rode through the gap and then a small section of the 'Ring of Kerry' and the back to killarney :blast and finally to killorglin, to a nice B & B.:)
pictures from the gap of dunloe.:clap:clap:clap

Merkin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A merkin (first use, according to the OED, 1617) is a pubic wig, originally worn by prostitutes after shaving their genitalia to eliminate lice or disguise the marks of syphilis. There are many different ways of wearing a merkin, although most involve placing the merkin on the vulva or the scrotum.

:augie

Some nice shots there Ash and a decription where your enjoyment of the trip comes through. I'm guessing you'll be back for more in the future? :aidan

SUMMARY,
Loved every minute of my stay in Ireland, the people are warm and friendly.
fuel prices are 20% lower than the UK but everything else is dearer :(.
no need to book accommodation as there are B&B's everywhere and welcome bikers with open arms.:thumb.[30-60 euros]pp
most of the roads i traveled on were empty and in a good state of repair 'BUT' be warned they love chippings and most roads are topped with them  so a smooth ride soon becomes a distant memory.:D:D
boreens are small roads with grass in the middle and multi surfaced, but take you to some great places.
most fuel stations have shops/deli's etc so food and snacks are plentiful. not many fast food places unlike the UK which is a good thing.
as Arnie says 'I'L BE BACK' [sorry Ireland].:P ;)
and lastly but by no means least. A massive thank you to AIDAN AND JOCKSER for planning my route for me [AND MANDY FOR THE SUNSHINE[ as it was a big thing that i did not have to worry about what with my problems as they are.
i have said it before if i can do it so can you.
PS,
a GS is a ideal bike for Ireland as the surfaces are varied and you can see everything.

Cracking pics there Ash. :clap

I'm glad that the route suited you and that you had a good few days. :)
