I watched a show on TV last night called Petrol Heads, the second half hour was
about Trials riding, yer man had one day in which to learn how to ride a trials
bike and the following day he had to compete at novice class. I thought it was
brilliant to watch someone learn from scratch, obviously the presenter was good
on a bike and had some natural ability, but he said at the beginning of the show
he'd never ridden a trials bike before.
I'd like to have a go at novice level trials riding, anyone else on here interested ?

Yeah, that was the one, he was an upbeat little fella, :thumb I think he was advising the presenter to be smoother with the throttle. :D

Will do, thanks Dave. :thumb

 how much is a new trials bike Dave?

The way offroading in this country is going, trials biking might be a good option. Either that or motocross, which we got a bit of a taster for in Clonroche last week. :D

Between £3200 £3600 for a two stroke beta, gas gas, sherco, then between £4000 and £5000 for a four stoke, i ride a £600 yamaha ty250 and can give some of the new bikes a run for there money but modern is best!! it is a great way to spend a sunday and the bike control you learn is something you use on the road .

Who are you and what have you done with my wife ! :rob

I could have bought one fairly reasonable a couple of weeks ago. :blast

As David said, the amount of control you'd learn would be great,
and even if you don't learn any, it'd still be great fun. :bounce1

Besides, I need another bike. :augie

YES . .

. . buy a Montesa 315R 250cc from E1500 up. I have a TY175, road regd., great becoz the older designs enable sitting when the legs buckle. A Dave Cooper type rack bolted to the towbar, allows carrying the bike, , thus dispensing with the need for a trailer.

Sure you have saved more than the of a bike since you have chucked the weed; your saving money hand over fist boy - you deserve at least one more bike. Goan goan goan - yer worth it! :green gri
