Is ABS standard on the 1200 GS?

Unsure from the BMW brochure & webpage, referred to as special equipment.

So is ABS fitted to all 1200 GS models as standard?

It has been fitted to the first batch to come out of the factory to speed up production, but if you are ordering a bike for delivery next year, you should be able to order one without the ABS if that is what you want. The first buyers didn't have that choice. I think the cost of the fitment is in the region of £750.

Bob's right. My original order (delivery Jan 05) was without ABS - with a considerable saving. I believe the earliest non-ABS bikes were due to be built/released in Dec. I picked up an ABS bike well early in the end.
